FSEconomy

I will follow the Rules of Fair Play

Welcome to the exciting world of FSEconomy

FSEconomy is a environment where flight simulation enthusiasts can add a new aspect to their flying. Since 2005, FSEconomy has registered over 60,000 simulator pilots to earn in-game virtual money by flying general aviation aircraft to and from nearly every airport on Earth. With those virtual earnings, pilots can purchase their own airplanes, join or start virtual businesses, open up FBOs, and more - all within the free world of FSEconomy. FSEconomy adds a new dimension to your flight simulation experience, and that doesn't even count all the people you will meet along the way.

If you would like to know more about this free community, just read the manual and visit our community forum. Links can be found below.

FSEconomy is Compatible with the following simulators:

- Microsoft FS8, FS9, FSX, FS2020, FS2024
- X-Plane 9.5 and higher
- Prepar3D (all known versions)

New All-In Templates for Tubeliners

All-In Routes - New All-In Template Addition for Tubeliners

The team of coders, job templates, and aircraft have been working on a new job template type, the All-In Routes.  The goal was to better present more traditional routes vs just random destinations.

The new templates have added a heading control parameter and the ability to assign specific airframes by aircraft ID to these templates to provide a level of control we haven't seen yet to enhance the tubeliner experience.  The templates will use ICAO pairs to set departure and destination directions.

Example routes (based on the original East-West B707 routes flown by PanAm Airlines):

KJFK-EGLL, EGLL-EDDF, EDDF-KJFK

EDDF-LTBA, LTBA-OLBA, OLBA-EDDF

RJTT-PHKO, PHKO-PHNL, PHNL-RJTT

VTBD-VHHX,  VHHX-RJTT, RJTT-VTBD

OLBA-VIDP, VIDP-VTBD, VTBD-OLBA

Pay for these jobs will be in line with tubeliner pay used today.

You can expect to see airliner type aircraft used in these new templates, for now.  There is still some experimentation on using commuter aircraft for routes such as intra-island flights but more work needs to be done on that angle.  One limitation on these aircraft used for these templates is once the ID is used in an All-In Routes template it cannot be used for random flight templates any longer.

Aircraft team has added the Boeing 707 to the aircraft lineup as a part of this introduction and has plans to add additional airliner types not currently in FSE in the future for these templates.  So, if a B707 is sitting at KJFK, EGLL, and EDDF, the template would generate a job with payloads suitable for a fuel load to EGLL, EDDF, and KJFK respectively.

Any aircraft used for these templates would not be otherwise rentable by player-pilots for other jobs; they are limited to these All-In route templates only.

FSE Airport Database - Policy Update

12/03/24

FSE is updating its policy regarding the FSE Airport Database (ADB). The current policy is that the ADB is a static, never-changing database. A revised policy will be to allow ADB updates.

First and foremost: The intent of this policy change is NOT to make FSE reflect the real world, nor any particular simulator, in whole or in part. The intent of this policy is to enhance the existing FSE Airport Game World. ALL simulators will continue needing to make adjustments to match up that simulator's world with the fictitious FSE World.

Please see the announcement in the FSE Forums for full details.

When asked why they continue to fly with FSEconomy, many of our pilots responded that the community is just as much of a part of their FSE enjoyment as the flying.

The FSE Forums are a great resource for buying and selling airplanes and FBO's, tips and tricks to maximize your enjoyment in FSE, and finding groups and organizations which you can join to further your experience! You can also get up-to-the-minute updates on any server issues, system enhancements and changes which may take place.

Most of all, the FSE forums are the lifeblood of the FSE community. Don't be shy! Stop on by, take a look, and discover the "hidden" reason why FSEconomy can be such a fun and addicting extension for your flight simulation experience!
